Savannah Monitor

Introduction
The savannah monitor is found in the savannahs and grasslands of central Africa. These animals are superbly adapted predators that hunt and forage during the cooler daylight hours for foods consisting of insects, birds, eggs, rodents, and other reptiles

In general, savannahs are one of the more reasonably sized monitor lizards, making them a good choice for beginners or those not willing or

White Lined Gecko

Introduction
White lined geckos reach an adult length of around 9-10 inches (including tail). Their bodies are brown, green or tan, and have a white stripe on each side of the heads that converges on the back and runs down to the tail base (the tail has broad white bands). They have specialized toe pads that allow them to effortlessly move along vertical surfaces. White lined geckos may be expected to live 10-20 years or so, though they are relatively new to the reptile hobby so this is a bit uncertain.

Veiled Chameleon

Introduction
Veiled Chameleons are from a wide range of habitats in the Arabian Peninsula in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. They are the hardiest of their genus but need very specific care in order to live long healthy lives. They can be skittish, however, if purchased young they can bond with their owners and become very personable. Even if your chameleon refuses to be handled they are spectacular to watch!

Poison Dart Frog

Introduction
Poison dart frogs are native to humid, tropical areas of Latin, Central and South America. They are one of the most colorful pets in the reptile and amphibian world. Poison dart frogs, despite their name, are not poisonous when kept in captivity. The frogs need certain chemicals found in the food they eat in the wild to produce the toxins.

Mountain Horned Dragon

Introduction
Found in humid forests, this tree dwelling species range from Burma, Thailand, Northern Malaysian Peninsula, Cambodia and Southern Vietnam. The Mountain Horned Dragon is a medium sized lizard; adults reach a size around 12” snout to vent. They generally have a grey background color with orange/red markings; others tend to be more yellow. Each individual animal varies in color. They have large orange/red eyes, large noticeable spines present on the back of the neck with smaller spines running along their back towards the tail.

Green Iguana

Introduction
Iguanas are native to Central and South America. Imported iguanas are generally from Columbia, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, Mexico, and Surinam. The range in size from four to six feet in length and if properly cared for, iguanas should live more than 20 years in captivity.

Housing
The enclosure for an adult iguana should be at least six feet tall, about 1½ to twice the length of the iguana, and 2/3 to one full length of the iguana wide. For a six foot adult iguana, (more…)

Blue Tailed Skink

Introduction
Blue Tailed Skinks are native to the U.S. These are amazingly active little predators, they always are doing something and are just fun to watch. They do not like being handled. Keep this to an absolute minimum. Tails break off easily and grow back looking not as nice as before. Great pets to watch. Also will learn to take bits of food or meal worms from tongs or fingertips. Will head to its burrow in the evening and overnights, but will emerge in the morning to look for food and bask in the “sun”. Very easy to keep, very interesting little animals. I’ve had individuals live up to 8 years, and these were adults of unknown age when captured. I suspect a 10 year or so lifespan.

African Fat Tail Gecko

Introduction
African fat tail geckos originate in West Africa. They live in arid regions of Senegal and Cameroon. Being nocturnal reptiles, AFT’s spend a lot of their time during the day in dark, humid places. AFT’s are terrestrial geckos that find crevices under and between rocks to hide. Although, they can climb a little, they are very clumsy at it. White’s Tree Frog

White’s Tree Frogs make excellent pets.
